Resort Uniforms: Front Desk Staff Uniforms

May 25th 2012

There are many areas you need to pay attention to when you’re running a resort. The resort uniforms here at Sharper Uniforms are perfect for every aspect of your operation. Over the next few weeks, we’ll take a look at the different areas of your resort operation and how our resort uniforms can help make your staff look crisp, clean, and capable. You’ll need to consider resort uniforms for your front desk staff, restaurants, banquet halls, housekeeping, maintenance operations, and spa staff.

Today, let’s look at how a well-dressed front desk staff can benefit your resort.

The front desk staff are generally the first people your clients will see when they enter your resort. These important staff members are also usually the first people individuals will interact with. That makes it extremely important that these members of your staff present a clean and professional image at all times. On top of the perfect front desk uniform, you should also consider putting your front desk staff through some sort of image training to ensure that the first impression they give is the right one for each person that walks through the door of your resort.

Here at Sharper Uniforms, we have a wide selection of front desk staff uniforms in our resort collection. Shop though our ladies front desk hotel uniforms and find an array of blouses, shirts, vests, pants, and more. We also have a wide range of casual and formal front desk uniforms for the men on your staff. No matter what image you want to convey, you can find the perfect front desk resort uniforms in our store.

Stay tuned for a look at some other areas of resort operations!

There’s just something about outfitting your front desk staff in sharp looking suits. Your clients get a sense of confidence when they see a well-dressed front-of-the-house staff. We’ll admit it—it’s not difficult to find the right suit for your team. But it’s not always easy to keep those suits looking fresh and clean. You never know what you’ll have to deal with in the front end of your workplace. Spills, slips, accidents, messes—they can pop up at any time. Tru e Eco Friendly Restaurant Uniforms are Here!

April 23rd 2012

With Earth Day just behind us, we thought it was a great time to point out our line of environmentally friendly restaurant uniforms. After all, it’s important to be good to the environment—no matter what time of year it is! Are you interested in learning more about our Tru e eco friendly products? We thought so. Let’s make the world a better place one step at a time!

Tru e products go far beyond just being made from recycled material—they’re produced from recycled polyester. This is about as green as it gets. It starts by using 100% recycled yarn, and polyester is the greenest apparel fiber available since it can be washed in colder temperatures, it dries quickly, and it holds its color longer. When you choose these environmentally friendly restaurant uniforms from Sharper Uniforms, you can rest assured that you’ll get a long usable life out of them. That’s important when it comes to choosing uniforms for your restaurant staff.

The best part? These Tru e environmentally friendly restaurant uniforms can be returned and recycles when the garments reach the end of their usable life. This way, you can continue the green cycle all over again! Once the garments are received, Tru e works to ensure that the garments are either recycled for other uses or converted back into apparel yarn.

Do your part and go green with Sharper Uniforms!

Sharper Uniforms: Doing it for Charity!

April 10th 2012

We just can’t seem to keep to ourselves anymore! We’ve spent the past few months sharing our wares and information at various trade shows across the country. And now we’re proud to announce that we shared a little bit of the wealth with a great local charity event.

The 9th Annual Cooking for a Cause was held on March 30th, 2012 at the Seaport Hotel on Boston’s waterfront. An all star lineup of chefs were in attendance—led by Culinary Chair Jason Santos of Blue, Inc. Additionally, vendors and some of the best and brightest bartenders in the area were there. The bartenders were led by Wine Chair Tom Schlesinger-Guidelli of Island Creek Oyster Bar.

What were we doing at such a fun and prestigious event? Averill’s Sharper Uniforms sponsored aprons for this great charity event. All of the proceeds from the Cooking for a Cause event benefited the East End House. The East End House has been offering innovative programming to the community since 1875. We were proud to be involved in this event! The East End House community center uses a holistic approach to promote the well-being, academic achievement, and successful transition to adulthood of children and youth from Cambridge and other surrounding communities.

We firmly believe that a little love, attention, and a few great aprons can go a long way!

Averill’s Sharper Uniforms Teamed Up with MRAEF’s ProStart Program

February 16th 2012

We believe that every good chef deserves a good start, and that’s why we were proud to team up with the 2012 Massachusetts ProStart Student Invitational earlier this year. The invitational was a high school culinary and restaurant management competition to showcase the areas’ future chefs and restaurateurs. Ten area schools participated in the competition, and the panel of judges included some celebrated fixtures on the local culinary scene. Few things are more exciting than seeing young chefs and restaurateurs show what they’ve got—it really gives us hope for the future of the industry!

The future of the Massachusetts restaurant industry!

And that’s why we wanted to pitch in. We provided embroidered chef coats for all of the students involved in the event. We are proud to help support the future of the restaurant industry by giving them a little something personal. After all, you can’t feel truly professional as a chef until you have the proper embroidered chef’s coat!

We believe that the Massachusetts Restaurant Association Education Foundation provides young culinary minds with an excellent foundation. Since 2000, they have awarded 900,000 scholarships to over 300 high school and undergraduate students in the restaurant and food service industry. With people like that helping to develop quality restaurant professionals in Massachusetts, we have absolute faith in the future of the local restaurant scene.

We just hope these lucky students remember us and their embroidered chef’s coats when they make it big in the culinary world!
